Started
If you've been gone for the
past few years or are new to the internet, you probably don't know that
music is now available on the internet. In form of MP3s, you can
now download all of the latest and all of your favorites from a growing
amount of sites. But before you do any MP3 downloading, you must
get an MP3 player. I highly suggest that you get WinAmp. Note: We do not encourage the illegal creation or downloading of mp3s. This site is only for informational purposes. Creating CDs without the musician's permission is illegal and can be punishable by fine or up to six months in jail.

Where
to Get MP3s From
- The only MP3 search engine left. You hafta download a download agent in order to start getting MP3s, but it's worth it.
Direct Download Sites
These sites are great and I use them most of the time. They upload their Mp3s onto free website servers, such as Geocities, Angelfire, and Tripod. The sites contain many links to these files and you can download them. The files, though, are often deleted by the website servers. Luckily, the webmasters try to re-upload the files quickley. Also, the RIAA is always shutting down Mp3 sites, but those crafty webmasters usually open up a new site within days.

Making
an MP3 Music CD
The best part of MP3s is making customized CDs with them. After you
have collected enough MP3s to put onto a recordable CD (approximately 74
minutes), you can copy them (provided you have a CD Burner) onto a CD-R.
To do this, you must have a program that convert MP3 files to Wave files
such as Music
Match Jukebox.
You can also turn Mp3s to wav files with the use of one of the Winamp plugins included with the download. Visit Winamp's Homepage to get the details. Then after you've burned the tracks to a CD any regular CD player will
read the Wave files as an ordinary music track.
